Doodle 4 Google

It’s an infamous secret that I am a big fan of Google Doodle. Everytime a new doodle came up, I will always save it (I have a folder just for these). Mochi knows about this and he always help me to save them in case I forgot.

So this morning I saw that Google 4 Doodle contest is up for voting. What is Google 4 Doodle? It’s “a contest where we invite students in the United States to use their artistic talents to think big and redesign Google’s homepage logo for millions to see.”, as stated by them.

The theme this year is “If I could travel in time, I’d visit…”.

There are 5 different grade groups where we can vote for our favourites. Here are some that caught my eyes:

I like Ballet, so no explanation needed for this one.

I like the vintage-y feeling on this one. I like the typeface as well.

The striking colours and bold outer line were the first things that caught me. The drawing is so neat and I love the colour combination.

I find this quite cute. I always like to see famous people in cartoon version, and Mr. Lincoln here looks cute. Hahahaha

I love jazz, and goodness! This boy can really draw!

I like the idea behind this. “A wormhole leading me to knowledge”. Neat drawing, too!

Neat drawings and colourful!!

Grade 2 and you can draw this? Kill me >.<

I like how she used the trumpets as the “O”s, and I guess we’ll never be sick of Medieval era, won’t we?

Mann… looking at these drawings make me realize even more that my drawings are shit. No joke. I can draw cartoons a little bit but definitely not as nice as theirs (差的远啦!). One thing I could never draw is human. The proportions will always be off. Everytime I draw a nose, it will always end up looking like jambu. LOL!

(Off topic: my parents always said my nose, or better still, my dad’s and mine, is like jambu. HAHAHAHAHA)
